Hardcover, Blue paper covered boards with gilt border and title to cover, Assumed First Edition, published September, 1911. 65 Pages + 12 Pages at the end of the book entitled, "Here is the Way to Reach the 'Man Inside You'." by Robert Collier.

Book Condition:
Fair, Spine cover is missing so gauze covered signatures are exposed, covers are rubbed and soiled, moderate shelf wear, corners bumped and boards exposed at corners, pen mark "1911," to front end papers, front and bank hinges cracked, pages lightly tanned but otherwise free of marks. No Dust Jacket.


Content:
This is a novel written by Davis a few years before his death in 1916. "The Man Who Could Not Lose" was made into a film in 1914 starring and directed by Carlyle Blackwell. This 1911 version of the book also includes an additional 12 page essay by Robert Collier at the end of the book. Among his other accomplishments, he was also a friend of President Theodore Rooevelt who had this to say about Davis, "He was as good an American as ever lived, and his heart flamed against cruelty and injustice. His writings form a text-book of Americanism which all our people would do well to read at the present time." - Theodore Roosevelt. 65 Pages (+12 Pages). Extremely Scarce Title. Collectible.
