Book Description: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, Inc., Indianapolis, 1932. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Hardcover, decorative black and red cloth cover with title to cover and spine, First Edition, 1932, 128 pp.

Book Condition: Fair, covers extremely rubbed and soiled, headbands missing, corners bumped with boards exposed, edges worn with boards exposed, hinges loose but intact, numerous names in pen to fep and rep, pages have some underlining in pen and some pages soiled, no dust jacket.

Contents: Humorous take on the depression by the author focusing on the positive aspects of the Great Depression due to the refinement of simplicity, published in 1932. This First Edition is a Reading Copy Only, but important title for any trader's library. (Of note: the 20 names written in pen to the front end papers were a list of those who the book owner lent the book. It appears it was important for her at the time to allow others to see the positive side of the difficult financial times of that period - some interesting personal history to this copy).

Status: Sold, 22 August 2012 to Private Collector in Amarillo, TX, USA
