On Managing Yourself
by Dr. Mario F. Conforti
This is a 4 page psychology-based paper written by Dr. Conforti in the 1960's that highlights the importance of a positive self-concept as it relates to effectiveness.
Although there is no date, I assume it's 1960's as I was able to confirm he worked at Autonetics in 1966.
I decided to provide this paper free of charge not only because it's only a short 4 page REPRINT, but because I belief the nuggets of information here are too frequently over looked by traders and I want to make it available to ALL.
There have been hundreds if not thousands of self-help books based on Neuro-lingustic programming, but what I really like about Dr. Conforti's paper is that he's presented an explanation AND action items for behaviorally change in a clean, concise 4 pages.
I can't imagine any trader having sustainable success until these principals are understood and practiced. I believe them to be the most important foundation of trading giving those who fully understand self-programming the ability to make the right "entry and exit" decisions (based on following rules) on a consistent basis.

About the author:
Dr. Mario F. Conforti was a psychologist and lecturer who worked as a Management Training Specialist at Autonetics, A Division of North American Aviation in the 1960's.
He was later associated with the Western CUNA (Credit Union National Association) Management School in Pomona, CA. As a side note, during Mr. Conforti’s involvement at WCMS he instilled in the students a deep sense of personal worth and the wisdom to recognize that others also have a similar personal worth. He used the fable of the Prince and the Frog to make his point; he taught his students how to care about themselves and that it is ok to show others we care about them. It was through his influence the FROG became the mascot of the School.
