Book Description:
Stoddard Incorporating Company, Phoenix, AZ, 1925. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Hardcover, Brown leatherette boards with gilt title to cover, Two hole binder with removal brass screws, marbled endpapers, sections separated by printed cloth tabs, rounded corners.

Book Condition:
Very Good, covers rubbed, moderate shelfwear, corners lightly bumped, title faded, small nick (1/4") to the inside top of the back board that exposes board (see photo), light bio-damage to back loose end paper that's left a 1/16" hole, pages tanned, otherwise no marks to interior.

Contents: This is a stationary product manufactured by "The Manufacturing Stationers Inc." of Phoenix, AZ in 1925. This product was designed to help Arizona Corporations organize their corporate documents. This copy is unused and contains the stock forms and their instruction. The tabbed sections are as follows: Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, Minutes of Meetings, Stock Journal, Stock Ledger, Dividend Record, Forms. Included near the front of the book is a printed letter from Arizona Corporation Commission Chairman, Loren Vaughn endorsing this product for use by Arizona Corporations.

About Stoddard: Clera M. Stoddard was a member of the Arizona Senate from 1921 to 1923, and a contender for the Republican nomination for Governor of Arizona in September 1928, but lost the primary to John C. Phillips who later won the Election. The Stoddard Incorporation Company was in business for over 20 years, but it's not clear when the business was folded. It was advertised that additional forms for this book could be purchased by "The Manufacturing Stationers, Inc." Celora M. Stoddard was son of Arizona Lawyer, Politician and Businessman Isaac T. Stoddard. Isaac Stoddard was Secretary of the Arizona Territory in the early 1900's prior to Arizona becoming a state in 1912. In the 1920's, Arizona had "liberal" laws where many corporations found it advantageous to incorporate there. Scarce, 120 pages, Collectible.
